Police Searching For Hit-Run Driver After Crash Killing CT Man

Hartford Police are asking the public for help identifying the driver of a black Infiniti G35 who allegedly hit and killed a pedestrian and fled the scene.

Michael Brown, age 51, of Windsor, was found in the roadway around 12:10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 1, when Hartford Police responded to a report of a crash.

According to Lt. Aarron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police, when officers arrived in the area of Main Street at Battles Street, they found Brown in the roadway, unresponsive, and suffering from severe life-threatening injuries. 

He was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Boisvert said.

The vehicle involved in the crash, a black Infiniti G35, fled the scene prior to the officer’s arrival but was later located unoccupied, he added.

The crash is under active investigation with a full reconstruction pending by the Crime Scene Division.
